I think I was one of the first in Alberta to be diagnosed with a thyroid disease in such a young child!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, about five years ago, I started developing an abdominal issue that eventually made me hospitalized for a period of time. There was no real diagnosis at that time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I got checked for cancer. I got checked for all types of things. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto&#8217;s thyroiditis about two and a half years ago. And when it&#8217;s a 24\/7 issue, it&#8217;s very tiring and you don&#8217;t get a break from it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It dominates your life. I think I knew as soon as I had that episode when I was overseas, looking at the Eiffel Tower and thinking \u201cI am not experiencing emotionally what I need to be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a whole other realm of health that I have no clue about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I knew there had to be a psychological factor or imbalance or something going on with that, because I was not my happy, joyful self.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-led-you-directly-to-neurvana-naturopathic-medicine\">What led you directly to Neurvana Naturopathic Medicine?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What led me to Neurvana was another friend of mine that was diagnosed with cancer.
