“I have been blessed with good physical health for the majority of my life. However, the health obstacles I struggled with occurred on the inside. The internal struggle I thought I had managed well my whole life began to unravel with the stress of University. I was becoming more high-strung, irritable and my perfectionist tendencies were at an all-time high. Basically I was living in a constant state of flight or fight. Eventually, something had to give and I started to see relationships with my loved ones suffer.
On whim, it was during a conference that I began to put the pieces of my collapsing mental state together. I was introduced to trauma-focused therapy and it quite frankly changed my life. I uncovered the root of my challenges having stemmed from my own and my parents early-life experiences. I discovered how much these experiences have impacted who I had become and how I was reacting to certain events. With on-going support and continual work with Neurofeedback, Biofeedback and Integrative Medicine I have been able to successfully complete a Masters in Psychology while co-founding Neurvana Naturopathic Medicine. I am extremely grateful for every experience I have encountered and strive to share my experiences and help as many people as possible along the way.”
